Hurricane Matthew Spurs Schedule Changes

Mount Olive, N.C. - Hurricane Matthew has forced several schedule changes within the University of Mount Olive athletic department.

Saturday's women's and men's soccer doubleheader with King University has been moved from Amon Field to Bristol, Tennessee. Action begins with the women's contest at 11 a.m. followed by the men's match at 1 p.m.

The Trojans' volleyball team's Saturday tri-match schedule has been altered and will feature just one match. UMO will battle Belmont Abbey College at 1 p.m. in Kornegay Arena.

UMO's men's and women's tennis teams will compete in this weekend's Barton Invitational in Wilson, North Carolina with some schedule alterations. All Saturday competition has been canceled and the teams will participate in individual competition in the morning followed by a matchup with Shaw University at 1 p.m.

The UMO Baseball Alumni game scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled. The Alumni and Friends Golf tournament set for Friday has been moved to October 28 at 1 p.m. at the Southern Wayne Country Club.
