Durham, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive track & field teams concluded competition at the Duke Invitational hosted by Duke University over the weekend. The Trojans set five NCAA Provisional Qualifying marks and broke eight school records.

  • Leah Hanle (Steeplechase) and the Trojans 4x100m relay team (Ayanna King, Alexis McNeil, Tunisia Prince, Laneeja Sheppard) both set NCAA Provisional Qualifying standard marks in their respective events.
  • Five Trojans broke school records as Leah Hanle (Steeplechase), 4x400m relay team, Bailee Henry (800m), Alexis McNeil (200m), and Taylor Moncrief (High Jump) all set new UMO all-time marks.

MEN'S NOTABLES

  • Jonathan Dahlke (5000m), Guillermo Rendon-Alcala (100m) and Jacob Urys all set NCAA Provisional Qualifying standard marks in their respective events.
  • Jamiroquia Faison (Triple Jump), Nick Greyno (Hammer), and Guillermo Rendon-Alcala (100m) all broke the UMO school record in their respective events as well.
  • Brady Deaner (800m), Christopher Perez (800m), Johnny Middlebrooks (200m), and Guillermo Matesanz (400m Hurdles), and Jonathan Dahlke (5000m) all moved inside the top-3 in the UMO record book.
