Ingram & Proesch Named Scholar Athletes Of The Month

Mount Olive, N.C. - Seniors Anna Ingram and Markus Proesch have been named the University of Mount Olive Female and Male Scholar-Athletes of the Month for the month of February. 

A member of the softball team, Ingram is a biology major/chemistry minor who holds a 3.66 GPA. Ingram has appeared in 14 games with 35 plate appearances. She has scored five runs on ten hits with six runs batted in, and four walks. Ingram holds a .286 batting average, .381 on-base percentage, and a .429 slugging percentage.

A member of the men's golf team, Proesch is a Business Administration Business Management major/Business Analytics minor who holds a 3.74 GPA. Proesch has played in one tournament this season, finishing 42nd at the Cutter Creek Invitational.

Scholar-Athlete of the Month winners are nominated by University of Mount Olive faculty members and selected by a committee chaired by UMO math professor and faculty athletics representative Dr. Brenda Cates.
