UMO's Stone Named Conference Carolinas Baseball Player Of The Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's JT Stone was named the Conference Carolinas Baseball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 1-4, the Conference announced today.

Stone, a junior from Fayetteville, N.C., had a stellar opening weekend as he tallied six hits with a .429 average at the plate to lead the No. 7 University of Mount Olive Trojans to a 2-1 record against Lander University over the weekend. He collected four extra-base hits (2 HR, 1 3B and 1 2B) and drove in 11 RBI. Stone's best performance was in UMO's game two 11-10 loss on Saturday, as he went 3-for-5 with two home runs and six RBI. 

Stone is the first Trojan baseball student-athlete to be recognized as a player of the week for the 2018 season.
