No. 25 Trojans Finish Fourth Out Of 18 Teams At Bearcat Men's Golf Classic

Mount Olive freshman Sebastian Andersen carded a final round 72 Tuesday to finish in second place out of 97 golfers at the Bearcat Men's Golf Classic in Greenwood, S.C. As a team, the nationally 25th-ranked Trojans enjoyed their best round of the tournament Tuesday, shaving seven shots off their score, finishing fourth out of 18 teams.

Andersen's 72 gave him a total of 214 after 54 holes, four strokes better than a pair of golfers at 2-over. Teammate Jesus Valderrama finished strong for a top-10 finish as well. Valderrama finished with a 71 Tuesday, moving him up four positions to tie for seventh, just two shots outside the top three.

Philippe Tjantele, Dalton Gore and Mark O'Hara rounded out the Trojans' scoring. Each moved up in the final standings Tuesday as they trimmed at least two shots off their second round score.

Tjantele (76-77-75--228) finished 33rd, followed closely by Gore (75-78-76--229) in 39th and O'Hara (82-77-73--232) in 57th.
