Women's Lacrosse's Dobbins Named IWLCA Second-Team All-Region

Mount Olive, N.C. – University of Mount Olive women's lacrosse sophomore Hailey Dobbins has been named second-team all-South region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, it was announced on Friday.

A native of Syracuse, New York, Dobbins was named the Conference Carolinas defensive player of the year and earned first-team all-conference honors in her first season as a Trojan. Dobbins rewrote the program record book this season, shattering the program records for single-season ground balls (57) and caused turnovers (62). Dobbins' 62 caused turnovers were the most in NCAA DII this season and just five away from tying the DII single-season record.

Dobbins is one of just five Conference Carolinas student-athletes to be named IWLCA all-region this year. Dobbins is the fifth Trojan to earn IWLCA all-region honors and the second to earn second-team honors or better.
