Women's Track And Field Compete At Vince Brown Invitational

University of Mount Olive women's track and field team completed competition at the Vince Brown Invitational in Newport News, Va. Saturday. One Trojan was under three seconds away from breaking a school record.

In the track events, Paulena Kremling was seconds away from breaking the school record in the 800m. Kremling finished with a time of 2:22.6, 2.9 off the top spot. Kelsey Valentine moved into third place in the mile run with a time of 5:24.64. 

In the field events, Danielle Hill moved into second place in the pole vault with a height of 2.15m. Khadijah Kale moved into third place in the shot put with a distance of 12.16m. She also moved into fourth place in the weight throw with a distance of 12.48m. Alanna McCarthy tied with Kale and sits tied for fourth in the weight throw. 

Mount Olive has the week off until the travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. to compete in the UCS Invitational February 20.
