UMO's McCoy Named Conference Carolinas Female Track Athlete Of The Week

HIGH POINT, N.C. – University of Mount Olive's Sydney McCoy has been named the Conference Carolinas Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for meets held Jan. 29 - Feb. 4, the conference announced today.

McCoy recorded an NCAA Provisional Qualifying time in the 60m at the Vince Brown Invitational this past weekend.  In the 60m dash, the freshman won each section of her event. McCoy's time of 7.68 seconds was 0.01 second behind the UMO school record held by Trojan Alumni Alexis McNeil. The time also moved her into the number two spot in the conference. 

McCoy becomes the fourth Trojan track and field student-athlete to be recognized as an athlete of the week.
