The University of Mount Olive athletics department presents the first UMO Athletics Giving Week April 3-7, 2017.
100% of your gift will be allocated directly towards the designated program or team, ensuring UMO student-athletes a world-class experience in the classroom and in competition. Contributions of all sizes will help each program in their efforts during UMO Athletics Giving Week.

Giving Week FAQs
Each sport at UMO and various affiliate departments will benefit from your gifts and have identified specific projects which you can help contribute to. Below is a list of each sport and its selected project.
• General Athletics
Kornegay Arena Hallway Graphics ($10,000)
Opened in 1984, George and Annie Dail Kornegay Arena is the home of the Trojans' Men's and Women's Basketball and Men's and Women's Volleyball teams, as well as coaches and administration offices and classrooms. The funds collected for this project will go towards updating the pictures and graphics that line the hallway of the arena and will help create a better environment for UMO Athletics.
• Athletics Communications
Webcast Equipment ($6,000)
Live video, produced and provided by UMO's Athletics Communications staff, allows fans and family to watch their Trojans from all over the nation and the world. The funds received for this project will go to equipment upgrades that will increase the quality of broadcasts on the Trojan Sports Network and allow for more games to be broadcast.
Pitching Machine ($5,000)
Over the past 10 seasons, the Trojans' baseball team has amassed over 400 wins, 16 Conference Carolinas regular season and tournament championships, and a NCAA DII National Championship in 2008. Funds collected for this project will go towards a pitching machine for UMO's baseball team and help the Trojans prepare to capture more conference and national championships.
• Men's Basketball
Lockerroom Graphics ($5,000)
Each sport locker room serves as home base for team meetings and preparation. Funds for this project will go towards graphics for the men's basketball locker room to help improve the look and feel of the Trojans' home base.
• Women's Basketball
Kornegay Arena Basket and Wall Padding ($5,000)
Fresh off amassing the third-best record in program history, UMO's women's basketball team is looking to make improvements to the safety and comfortability of Kornegay Arena. Funds gathered for this project will go towards padding for the baskets and the walls behind the baskets in Kornegay Arena.
Funds collected for this project will go to the general fund for UMO's cheerleading team.
• Men's and Women's Golf
Golf Van Remodel ($15,000)
Whether at home or traveling to their next event, the Trojan men's and women's golf teams are instantly
recognizable. Traveling in a van emblazoned with UMO's logo, the golf van provides a home base for UMO's golf teams on the road. Funds collected for this project will go towards updating the interior of the golf van.
• Men's Lacrosse
Lockerroom Graphics ($3,000)
Each sport locker room serves as home base for team meetings and preparation. Funds for this project will go towards graphics for the men's lacrosse locker room to help improve the look and feel of the Trojans' home base.
• Women's Lacrosse
Funds collected for this project will go to the general fund for UMO's women's lacrosse team.
• Men's and Women's Soccer
Amon Field irrigation ($15,000)
Amon Field is the home of UMO's men's and women's soccer teams. Funds gathered for this project will go towards improving the irrigation of Amon Field.
Infield Grading ($10,000)
Nancy Chapman Cassell Field, home of UMO's softball team, provides a home-field advantage for the Trojans. Funds collected for this project will go towards grading the infield of Cassell Field and other field maintenance projects.
• Sports Medicine
Gator, Additional AEDs, and Total Body Ergometer ($14,400)
UMO student-athletes give their all in their respective fields of battle. Without the sports medicine staff at Mount Olive, the Trojans would not be able to perform to their full ability. Funds gathered for this project will go towards a Gator vehicle, additional AEDs, and a Total Body Ergometer to help improve UMO's athletics programs.
• Strength and Conditioning
Bumper Plates ($4,500)
In order for UMO student-athletes to perform at their highest potential, it takes a quality strength and conditioning program to aid Mount Olive in achieving its best. Funds collected for this project will go towards bumper plates for the Trojans' weight room.
• Men's and Women's Tennis
Landscaping at John Neal Walker Tennis Center ($10,000)
The Trojans' men's and women's tennis teams call the John Neal Walker Tennis Center home. Funds gathered for this project will go towards landscaping around the tennis center, which will enhance the appearance and provide a buffer from the wind.
• Men's and Women's Track and Field/Cross Country
Storage Shed ($4,000)
Settling into their new home at the Ray McDonald, Sr. Track and Field/Lacrosse Complex, UMO's men's and women's cross country and track and field teams are looking to continue to expand. Funds collected for this project will go towards a storage shed for track and field equipment.
• Men's Volleyball
Funds collected for this project will go to the general fund for UMO's men's volleyball team.
• Women's Volleyball
Funds collected for this project will go to the general fund for UMO's women's volleyball team.
