MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Mount Olive fell to the Patriots of the Francis Marion University 4-3 on Saturday morning in nonconference men's tennis action at the John Neal Walker Tennis Center in Mount Olive, N.C.

  • The Trojans dropped the doubles point after the Patriots took two of the three matches.
  • The No. 2 duo of Martin Moser and Pablo Safont Ferrer defeated their opponent 6-3.
  • Mount Olive took a 3-1 lead after winning the singles matches No. 1, 2, & 3.
  • Martin Moser gave UMO their first point with a 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2.
  • Milosh Petrovic, in the No. 3 spot, won his match 6-4, 6-3 and Armando Ferreira won the No. 1 singles match in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.
  • The Patriots overwhelmed the Trojans in singles No. 4, 5, and 6 to win the overall match 4-3.

Mount Olive returns to action on March 14, as the team takes to the road for a match at Catawba College. The Trojans and Indians meet for first serve at 2 p.m. in Salisbury, N.C. in a rescheduled from Feb. 22.
